The 2016 Annual Tree of Lights was successful because of you. Thank you!
Wesley Homes was built on philanthropy, and it is this core value of compassionate generosity which warms our collective spirit and brightens our communities.
The adage, “‘Tis better to give than to receive,” is alive and well within the culture of Wesley Homes. The “Journal of Economic Psychology” found that donating increases one’s emotional and physical well-being. Researchers refer to this as the helper’s high and the giver’s glow. They only needed to poll those with an affinity for Wesley Homes to discover this truth.
Wesley Homes Foundation is pleased to share that there are numerous residents, staff and community members starting their New Year with the glow of generosity and gratitude.
The Tree of Lights annual campaign provides Wesley Homes Foundation with the funds necessary to enrich programs, engage active people and support dynamic places.
Dr. Stephen Post states, “When happiness, security and well-being of others become real to us, we come into our own.”
There is no doubt Wesley Homes is better because of you!
A special thank you to Wesley Homes’ Needlecrafters who annually donate a quilt, with all proceeds dedicated to the Circle of Concern. This fund was established to help care for qualifying residents who have exhausted their financial resources through no fault of their own.
This year we would like to pay a special tribute to our valued centenarian, Velna Steiner, who created and donated the lovely quilt for the 2016 Tree of Lights.
To each of you, Wesley Homes Foundation wishes you a happy, prosperous and healthy New Year. Together, we are revolutionizing senior living, and with heartfelt gratitude, we thank you!
