I read an article recently by advice columnist Scott Burns in the Seattle Times Sunday business section. A retired couple had written to him asking if they could afford to move in to a retirement community. Mr. Burns response made a lot of sense and I wanted to share it with all of you who are considering a move to a retirement community and don't know if you can afford it. He wrote: "The hard part here is accepting the idea that you are entering the period that you saved for – the time to spend your savings. Once you do that, I think you'll find your choice of going into a continuing care retirement community will make your life a lot easier and less anxious." Read the whole story here.
